One of the most notable is the Pan-African Congresses, which were a series of seven meetings held between 1900 and 1945 that aimed to unite people of African descent from around the world and address issues such as colonialism, racism, and self-determination.

Another important convention is the International Colloquium of Black Women and Feminism, which brings together Black women scholars, activists, and leaders to discuss important issues related to gender, race, and social justice.

Additionally, the International Decade for People of African Descent (2015-2024) declared by the United Nations aims to promote respect, protection, and fulfillment of the rights of people of African descent across the globe. This initiative encourages countries to recognize the contributions and challenges faced by Black communities worldwide.

These international conventions play a crucial role in promoting unity, solidarity, and progress among Black people globally, and in highlighting the importance of Black history in shaping the world we live in today.
